Anne Hoag is associate professor of telecommunications and director of the Center for Penn State Student Entrepreneurship (CPSSE) which serves 87,000 Penn State students from more than 200 different majors. She teaches and conducts research in the areas of media entrepreneurship, digital economy self-employment, emerging market opportunities in sustainability, and entrepreneurship pedagogy. Combining her interest in entrepreneurship, sustainability and the $2.8 billion U.S. knitting and yarn industry, a current book project, Knitting Entrepreneurship will be published in 2024. Before joining the Penn State faculty, she was an entrepreneur and manager in the cable television and advertising industries.
