Mike Rowen is a Penn State Engineering alumnus with many entrepreneurial experiences. He is the Spring 2021 Bishoff Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the Engineering Entrepreneurship Program. Mike started his career as an intrapreneur at Lutron Electronics, operating the Cardinal Group developing new, custom lighting controls for various clients as a test bed for future generally available products. He went on to run the e-commerce unit at Capital One through the early days of e-commerce including surviving the dot.com bust, bringing e-commerce to many of Capital One’s business units. He has invested and served on the boards of several successful startups. He has also started his own non-profit startup, The
CauseNetwork, which specializes in helping charities accept non-monetary donations. Mike will discuss his varied entrepreneurial experiences and answer questions in this interactive chat with Innoblue Penn State Entrepreneurs and other attendees. All are welcome to this conversation.
